Announcing With Great Pride -- Big 50 - 2009  Everyone
connected with Tim Lemke Construction is very proud to be the only
Minnesota remodeling company that was honored in 2009 by Remodeling
magazine. This national honor rewards remodelers who set exceptionally
high standards for professionalism and integrity through exemplary
business practices, craftsmanship, and impact their community or the
industry at large. Started in 1986, more than 1,600 remodeling companies
have been honored–currently there are 179,000 remodeling companies in the
country. The selection process has become more rigorous recently, and the editors of Remodeling magazine believe this is one of the strongest list of companies vying for the honor. Each company honored opened their business and books for examination, and demonstrated a deft ability to restructure, retrench and flat-out hustle to remain viable in an extremely difficult economic climate. – Remodeling Magazine. Nominations are made by Remodeling editors, columnists, industry leaders, and the remodeling companies themselves– before the 50 national winners are named. (See the full press release on Awards/Honors page) Big50 Service Excellence Award – 2009  Only FOUR of the Big50 companies were given this additional honor of Service Excellence. GuildQuality independently surveyed fifty customers per remodeling company. The responses show TLC’s customers as among the most satisfied. “We couldn’t be more proud or more humbled that our customers feel so strongly about our service. Tim Lemke (center) is honored with Big50 award
The Big50 Awards were given at the Remodeling Leadership Conference in Virginia on May 15th. Each year, the Remodeling Big50 inducts 50 owners of remodeling companies that have set exceptionally high standards for professionalism and integrity through exemplary business practices, craftsmanship, and impact in their community or the industry at large. The 2009 Big50 winners were featured in the May issue of Remodeling, a national trade publication read by more than 80,000 remodeling contractors. Since its inception, there have been 1,200 companies named in the Big50. There are currently 179,000 remodeling companies in the US. “We are very honored to receive this distinction,” Lemke said. “I credit our team and their dedication. I’m very thankful for them.” Nominations for the Big50 are made each year by Remodeling editors, columnists, industry leaders, and the remodeling companies themselves. Following a lengthy evaluation process, the editors select the 50 individuals who exemplify the best of the industry that year. Winners are selected in eight categories: Business Savvy, Fine Design, Industry Impact, Market Wise, Movers & Shakers, Niches, Sales & Marketing, and Teamwork. TLC was selected for the category of Niches. In addition to receiving the Big50 Award, Tim Lemke Construction was one of just four companies singled out within the group for a Big50 Service Excellence Award.
