651 / 602-9001 Custom Garages and Decks ...

We love a challenge - and our designers
have "raised the bar"
on deck and backyard arbor designs.
Our customers' smiles say it all!

Deck Reconstructed with Long-lasting Surface

This homeowner loved their deck, but it badly needed updating. We replaced the wood that had prematurely deteriorated--and this time the deck is made of Trex decking. Trex has enduring beauty with no warping, rotting or splintering because it is a wood-plastic composite material lumber made of recycled plastic and reclaimed hardwood sawdust. And it has a 25-year limited residential warranty that homeowners appreciate. www.Trex.com

The same footprint was used, but the interesting angles give the family more usable space than before.

And, in the area below the deck, we updated the landscaping, including stone steps that lead down to this area. The very unique curved stone design is indeed a “conversation” area.

A Backyard Showcase

After the house was updated inside and out, the family wanted the same kind of beauty, functionality and charm for their patio area.

The limited but important space between the house and the garage was built with easy maintenance in mind. The brick raised terrace faces the covered pergola that leads to the new garage that matches the house). The garage’s stucco surface and design complements the home–and inside it is completely finished and heated, has room for two cars, and the upstairs is ready for multiple uses–not just storage. The hanging swing chair, big enough for 2 or 3, adds the perfect finishing touch.

A Wonderfully Livable Backyard

This family bought this house in Greater Minnesota to be used as a weekend home because it was on a lake. When they retired four years later, it became their primary home.

They enjoyed the existing deck – but so did the bugs, so something had to be done. An architect friend designed this awesome screen porch, just one part of a larger remodeling project.

Tim Lemke Construction remodeled the front of the house, changing the roofline, replacing the windows, doors and siding. However, the biggest change came at the back, on the lakeside.

Family and the bugs enjoyed this deck,
but it wasn't adequate for the entertaining
and personal enjoyment the family wanted.

"Tim's crew did a wonderful job as this was a tricky project. Sometimes they had to be creative and do something other than on the plan– and it was always the right thing. They were forever solving problems – including making custom-made lighting. We ARE the envy of the neighborhood!"

— Pat H., homeowner

When the homeowners ordered the screen porch, which extends 25 feet across the back of the home, they asked for as much lake view as possible. When finished, the unique curved design makes it look much larger – and very inviting.

The various covenants did not allow them to close in the porch, only screen it, so the family has about 6-7 months of good usage. Underneath the porch is used for seasonal items.

What a beautiful place to sit and reflect as the three seasons pass by your eyes. Although winter is spent indoors, you can always dream of spring outside watching the leaves grow up and out.

What a backyard!

It’s loved by the family and the wildlife.  Why would anyone ever go inside?

This decking consists of an area off the sunroom, a bridge over the waterfall and a second deck with a view of the yard and the home.

The unique Stone Deck flooring (above) brings both conversation by guests and ease of care in this decking that is reached by a bridge over a wonderful waterfall.

Extended Living Area

This angled deck deserves a "high five" from the homeowner and neighbors alike.  The unique use of maintenance-free space encourages you to step up into this family's outside living space.  The built-in seating gathers people to enjoy the view of this wonderful backyard.  Imagine all the activities this 305 sq. ft. deck hosts every summer.

"When we got  competitive bids, we were pleased that Tim Lemke was in range  because we already knew the family. So we were happy to be working with them on two major  projects.

"First we attacked the kitchen.  They completely gutted our old kitchen.   We met with the wonderful cabinetmaker who gave us excellent design input.  This was not the nightmare everyone says it can be.   The subcontractors' schedules were closely watched by Tim to meet our deadline.  I  was expecting a baby and we want this done before my due date.   The baby was a month early … but  the kitchen was done on time.

Then they  demolished our single-car garage and then designed and built a  large two-car garage in its place. The neighbors have complimented  us on how well the garage design fits with our house and in the  neighborhood as most homes have only single garages.

"Tim  Lemke has tremendous follow-up.   He's great at coordinating everyone and everything. He  works with subcontractors he knows and trusts.   Tim spent a lot of time with us in the decision-making process, being very patient.   I always knew it was going to be done right if Tim was  involved."

— J.S., St. Louis Park

Deck

This slightly raised deck eliminated the need for a step down from the house.  The TLC of this deck's wonderful design and attention to detail complements this home.  The homeowner was delighted with the new siding and roofing project too.

What wonderful access this new deck provides!

The unique design increases usable space for entertaining outside. The view of the backyard is great, and being up high reduces summer bug problems. The family loves the deck – everyone loves the new deck and how it extended the family's living area for half the year.

Arbor

Landscaping so wonderful it should be on a garden tour!  This white wooden arbor waits for the growing plants to vine their way up and up … to do their job of providing shade. The design is a blend of the owner's dream and the craftsmen's TLC.

Front Porch

"Tim Lemke's crew that rebuilt our storm-damaged porch were real craftsmen. They were terrific, came on time and cleaned up every day before they left.

"It meant a lot to us that Tim was at the site every day, checking on the progress. We knew we could call him and he'd return our call quickly. He always kept touch with what was going on. It wasn't an easy project. We wanted a porch that looked like it belonged on our historic home. Tim helped us work through the maze of city codes and product selection while working within our limited budget.

"People who walked by would stop and watch the workers and compliment us on the progress. Our neighbors love the new porch as much as we do. We were very pleased with the crew and the results!"

— T.P and T.H., St. Paul

A 70-year-old home's front porch and roof fell victim to a spring storm and a gigantic oak tree.  Today this home looks better than ever:  new porch, new roof and eye-catching decorated railing.

The design matches and improves upon the original, and in an effort to make it historically correct, the attention to detail was utmost.  Elegant, inviting you to come on in. Happy homeowners … Happy people who stroll on by.

A classy-looking garage anyone would be proud to drive home to.

This family's garage is nicer than some people's home. TLC removed the old garage and rebuilt in a style to match the home.

The oversized two-car garage has storage space by the cars and additional space in the attic for things like seasonal storage.

TLC doesn't take short cuts.
They provide long-term solutions
that get the job done right, the first time!

A Neatly Finished Package

Siding, roofing and gutters, enhanced by landscaping to set it off.  This garage replaced an exciting garage that had problems.  Water and ice flowed into it, so Tim Lemke’s crew raised the grade and did some preventive landscaping.  The garage fits well with the home and within the neighborhood.

Stucco Garage

This maintenance-free stucco garage was designed and built to blend in with the stucco home.

Top to bottom, this garage is constructed of easy-to-care for products.  And, extra storage space was built into the trusses.

This garage not only looks good, it has added-value space.
